Yesterday, the grocery delivery person was mean to me.

I've gotten my shopping delivered every week for years, and 99% of the time, the driver is lovely.

My street can be hard to get to, so I have special instructions, and I always answer my phone and come to meet them if they need help.

But this person was having a really bad day I guess.

It started when she rang me to come out, which I did immediately, and then she hung up on me.

Then she refused to speak to me for like 30 seconds even though I asked her how she was and said hello and all that (meanwhile I was walking beside her- so weird lol)

There's like a little curb to get down and she had her trolley and I asked if she needed help. She ignored me again and almost spilled all the food everywhere (you can't make this shit up, dude.)

Just around the corner is my gate, so my partner came down and we carried the crates in and emptied them and he carried them out.

I followed him outside cause I wanted to see if she'd taken a moment to decompress, but then she started yelling at us about updating the instructions.

I told her, "I hope your day gets better."

Listen, I'm the person to do a feedback form and leave someone 5 stars. I review small businesses so much that I'm a Local Guide on Google.

And you never know what people are going through, so I give a lot of grace.

But you better believe I rang the help line and told them what happened, cause there's no excuse for being plain mean and rude like that, and I don't ever want to get her as a driver again lol

It's kinda funny though, cause it got me thinking about how rare it is for me to have a negative interaction like that these days.

Everywhere I go, I have great conversations and meet lovely people.

My online circle is full of people serving others, my recovery friendships are strong, and my clients are absolute diamonds.

I bet that lady doesn't have the support that I do, so today, I'm grateful.
